Our love story began in 2022 at the Gemini Solar Field Construction Site in Moapa, Nevada. Cara took the initiative to reach out to Dakota, who was new to the job site. After a few failed attempts by Cara, Dakota finally said yes to experiencing the legendary Fourth of July fireworks at Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. That night marked our "official" first date and set the stage for our incredible journey.

Fast forward to today, and we are living an adventurous life with our two energetic dogs, Gemma and Whiskey, in a fifth wheel in Huntington, Indiana. Dakota works as a Project Manager on a construction project near our camper. Cara pursues her Nursing degree and works as a CNA at the local hospital. After spending the past two years together, Dakota finally got the courage to propose.

On August 31st, 2024, after destroying his nieces in a grape stomping competition and a few glasses of wine, Dakota proposed to Cara with the help of his sister, Sidney Carpenter, at Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg, Texas. To Cara's total surprise, Dakota got on one knee in a field of blooming wildflowers and professed his undying love and gratitude. After many cuss words, SHE SAID YES, of course.
